Weekly FDA Food Recalls: June 1 to June 7, 2026

Recall Reason:Champion Foods LLC is recalling certain batches of Motor City Pizza Co. 5 Cheese Bread because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. This action follows a California Dairies, Inc. milk powder recall. The milk powder was used in a seasoning blend for the cheese sauce. While routine testing of the seasoning batches was negative for Salmonella, the recall is being issued out of an abundance of caution. No illnesses or injuries have been reported to date.

Recall Reason:The product was not adequately eviscerated, which is prohibited under New York State Agriculture and Markets regulations because Clostridium botulinum spores are more likely to be concentrated in the viscera. The issue was discovered during routine testing by the New York Department of Agriculture and Markets. No illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported.

Recall Reason:The recall was initiated due to undeclared milk and soy after it was discovered that the label incorrectly stated 'may contain milk and soy' instead of 'contains milk and soy.' No illnesses have been reported to date.
