Weekly FDA Food Recalls: April 6 to April 19, 2026

Recall Reason:Variable levels of Vitamin D resulting in both low and elevated levels in some of the canine milk replacers. Two complaints of rickets have been reported to date. The recall was initiated after an investigation determined that the product had variable levels of Vitamin D.

Recall Reason:The recall was initiated after an FDA inspection determined that retail packaging for various ice cream products lacked required ingredient statements and allergen declarations, resulting in undeclared Milk, Eggs, Tree Nuts (Almonds, Walnuts, Cashews, Pecans, Pistachios), Peanuts, Soy, Wheat, Sulfites, and various Food Color Additives (Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Red 3, Red 40, Blue 1, Blue 2, Green 3). No illnesses have been reported to date.

Recall Reason:Potential Foodborne Illness - Botulism. Botulism is a potentially fatal form of food poisoning that can cause general weakness, dizziness, double-vision, and trouble with speaking or swallowing. The potential was discovered through analysis by the Cornell Food Venture Center and field testing by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Recall Reason:The products have been found to contain undeclared sildenafil and tadalafil, which are active pharmaceutical ingredients in FDA-approved prescription drugs (Viagra and Cialis) used to treat erectile dysfunction. These ingredients can interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. No adverse events have been reported to date.
